Jermaine Green is a native Floridian, born in Miami to the late Reverend James L. and Juanita Green. As a youth he was raised in Liberty City in Miami where he attended Little River Elementary school. Jermaine began his career in music at the young age of 5 when he was introduced to his first instrument, the drum set. In his early teenage years, Jermaine attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School, a performing arts school, where he was selected as one of the top talented youth in the South Florida Tri-County area to attend their four year program in performing arts called PAVAC. After graduating with honors, he also received a scholarship to get private music studies with The New World School of the Arts. As a result of his focus, dedication and giftedness, at the age of 17 years old, Jermaine played for a variety of celebrity artists and musicians, including Steve Zimmerman, Peabo Bryson, and Jazz Saxophonist, Charlie Austin.
As a young adult, Jermaine became a Musical Director and a Musical Consultant for various churches. He served as the Minister of Music at the World Wide Christian Center for 15 years under the direction of Dr. O’neil Dozier. This was followed by a 10 year position as the Minister of Music at New Life Baptist Church of Carol City under the direction of Reverend Erik D. Cummings, Sr., current President of the Florida Baptist Convention.
Jermaine has been a professional entrepreneur throughout his adult life and has had several successful businesses. In 1999, Jermaine established Green Services, Inc., where he found success as a Professional Certified Home and Commercial Inspector and Insurance Surveyor for insurance companies and banks.
While working in the area of inspections, Jermaine saw the need for security at some of the locations and within the community. From there he launched security and body guard services. He later became a licensed instructor, teaching and training security officers.
Under the umbrella of Green Services, Jermaine expanded his services after becoming certified in Business Management for Small Businesses. It was in that arena that he became a Certified Business Planner, Business Coach and Life Coach and Marriage Counselor.
Jermaine is currently a member of the International Career and Business Alliance (ICABA). He continues to explore different entrepreneurial opportunities and invests in growing businesses where he can serve to support and help develop other beginning entrepreneurs. Additionally, Jermaine serves on various boards, including the board of the Paradigm Construction Group and is an Ambassador for the American Cancer Society.
As a devoted Christian, Jermaine has served in various areas where he has been able to continue to uplift the word of the Lord. In addition to serving as Minister of Music, Jermaine worked with Harvest Reapers International, and accredited ministry school. As Bishop, he served as an overseer of several of the schools and connected churches and from 2013-2015 he served on the Board of Directors of Harvest Reapers International where he also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree.
In conjunction with his entrepreneurial efforts, Jermaine has continued to pursue his life long passion of exploring music and seeking opportunities to grow musically. Jermaine is a graduate of the Excellence Music Academy, Washington D.C. and continues to study music of business .
Jermaine, musician, percussionist, recording artist, writer and producer, founded Maine’s Gear, LLC in 2014 and launched his music production company. In in 2015, Jermaine moved into his new production studio, Maine’s Gear. In 2016 he started a business venture with TDD Records to explore other business opportunities. Maine’s Gear/TDD Records has grown into a successful International Music Production Studio.
In addition to owning and operating a production studio, Jermaine is a member of the 135th Street Convention Band and is actively working on several musical projects.
